The Ateliers de l'Atlas

From 22 to 26 November, the Ateliers de l'Atlas, the festival's professional platform for Moroccan, Arab and African cinema, hold their ninth edition. Thirty projects and films from 14 countries were selected from 410 applications: 14 projects in development, 11 films in production or post-production and 5 Moroccan projects in the Regards sur l'Atlas section. Among the filmmakers are Amjad Abu Alala, Laila Abbas, Meryem Benm'Barek, Sofia Alaoui and Yasmine Benkiran.

The patron of this edition is the Brazilian director Kleber Mendonça Filho, whose The Secret Agent won the Best Director award at Cannes in 2025. Alongside the Ateliers, Atlas Station supports young Moroccan producers and short films, Atlas Distribution Meetings brings together some sixty professionals from Africa, the Arab world and Europe, and Atlas Press, from 23 to 27 November, is dedicated to film criticism.
