Snob Beach Marrakech

The VIP loungers stand inside the pool itself, in the middle of the water, with a view all the way round. Snob Beach is a beach club on the Ourika road outside Marrakech, where guests book a sunbed for the day. Zone 1 sits on a raised spot behind the Sun Lover loungers: it is the quieter corner, away from the livelier main pool. Each area comes with a towel and a floating pouf. In Zone 2, waiters take orders straight from your sunbed, right next to the DJ, who keeps live mixes, games and shows going without a break. Professional dancers perform on the water itself for the VIP area. The dress code is beach chic with swimwear strongly recommended, and the burkini is allowed. The club opens for the warm season and closes over the winter, so check that it is open before planning a day there. L'Elys, the club's restaurant, works under chef Marc Leonetti, with refined plates on one side and Asian dishes on the other. Raw starters lean on tartares, such as sea bream with coconut or scallop with passion fruit. Sushi comes in platters of up to 150 pieces, and there is a lobster risotto and a sole meunière, carved and served with steamed potatoes. Champagne runs to large bottles, up to a 12 litre Laurent Perrier Balthazar, and hookah is served.
