Romantic, Stunning Setting
Overview
Caravan Agafay by Our Habitas sits roughly forty-five minutes south-west of Marrakech, where the road climbs into the rocky desert of Agafay and the Atlas takes the entire western horizon. The pool grounds are split between two outdoor basins, set into the dry hills rather than fenced against them. The main pool reads as an infinity edge cut into the landscape, water disappearing into the dunes below. A second basin, the Sunset Pool, is held inside its own lounge area, more intimate, with a bar to one side and a low rim that follows the curve of the day. The architectural language is Berber simplification: woven mats, lattice lanterns, warm earth tones, the entire camp shaped by what the desert already offers rather than what it lacks. By midday the heat sits on the rocks; by dusk the air turns dry and the temperature drops. Olivar, the open-air restaurant, sends its kitchen out to the pool grounds: a fusion menu that leans Moroccan and Mediterranean, with Mexican accents threaded through. Tables face the dunes. Music starts after sunset, played live by local singers, while heaters take the chill off the evening. The pool sits at the centre of the resort's slow rhythm. A day pass is open to non-residents, lunch at Olivar included, the day shaped around water, dry air, and the gradual passage of light. The kind of place where afternoons stretch long, sunset comes as a quiet event, and the city feels distant in a way that matters.
