Overview
Les Bains de l'Alhambra occupies a converted riad in the Kasbah district, positioned between the Royal Palace and El Badi Palace, directly opposite the Saadian Tombs and a short walk from the Kasbah Mosque. The entrance is through Bab Agnaou, and the setting is traditional Moroccan with some modern touches: low lighting, soft music, eucalyptus in the air, and a central patio that frames the transition from the bustle of the Kasbah to the quiet inside. The spa is built around two private hammams finished in marble and tadelakt, with six dedicated massage rooms arranged beyond them. The hammam menu runs from a discovery-level session with eucalyptus soaping and horsehair glove scrub, through to the full experience, which adds black soap with eucalyptus, a ghassoul mask flavoured with seven plants, and a white or green clay body wrap. Combined formulas pair the hammam with a one-hour massage. The massage list is broad: hot stone, four-hand, warm pouch, relaxing, tonic, sport, and the traditional Moroccan performed with argan oil, known for its deep, floor-based pressure work. Most massages use argan oil as a base. Rose petal baths are available for those who want to extend the ritual further, and a separate relaxation room with dim lighting and loungers offers a place to decompress between treatments with mint tea. Facials, body care, manicures, pedicures, and hair removal round out the menu. The spa also runs a dedicated multi-treatment programme, the Cure Alhambra, designed for guests who want to book several sessions across their stay. The all-female team are well regarded by locals and riad owners in the Kasbah, many of whom recommend it to their own guests. For couples, simultaneous treatments are available across the private hammam cabins and massage rooms.
