Les Bains Almaha SPA

Les Bains Almaha occupies 200 square metres beneath Almaha Marrakech, a boutique hotel in the Kasbah district designed by Belgian architect Charles Kaisin. The building sits on the site of the former Royal Palace stables, in one of the city's oldest neighbourhoods, a five-minute walk from the Saadian Tombs. Kaisin's design language carries into the spa: zellige and bejmat columns frame a central jacuzzi, marble lines the saunas, and the massage rooms and hammam are set into alcoves draped in muslin. The mood is candlelit and enveloping, consistent with the hotel's Baudelaire-inspired aesthetic. The hammam menu covers a good range. A 30-minute relaxing option pairs steam with a black soap scrub. The traditional version adds eucalyptus soap, a ghassoul wrap, and shampoo. The oriental hammam extends further with rose or orange clay wraps and a hair treatment. Shorter scrub rituals use coffee and sugar or sesame and honey. An optional ghassoul mask with orange blossom and honey or herbs and lavender can be added to any treatment. Massages include a relaxing Moroccan treatment with verbena oil, a tonic massage with orange blossom oil for deeper muscle work, foot reflexology, a dedicated pregnant women's massage with argan oil, and targeted back and scalp treatments. Four packages combine treatments: the Raha pairs a coffee scrub hammam with a foot massage and traditional foot care; the Royal Almaha, the most complete, combines an oriental hammam, a full massage, facial, and hand and foot care. Facials range from a 30-minute orange blossom radiance treatment to the full Skin Almaha, a 60-minute session with nutrient-rich products. Manicures, pedicures, waxing, and henna tattoos round out the offering. The spa opens to non-hotel guests, and a heated pool and over 1,000 square metres of sun terraces with Atlas Mountain views sit just above.
