Overview

MÖ-MÖ opened in May 2025 at the entrance to Rue Riad Zitoun el Kdim, directly on Jemaa el-Fna. The building stacks two panoramic terraces above the square, and the view from the upper level at sunset is among the most immediate you will find of the nightly spectacle unfolding below. There are no reservations; the policy is walk-in only, which means a wait at peak hours but also a room that stays spontaneous. The interior is the first thing that registers. The design is loud in the best sense: saturated colour, handmade earthenware on every table, woven rattan fixtures overhead, and layered details that reward a slow look around. It has been called contemporary Moroccan design at its finest, and the space alone justifies the visit for anyone with an eye for interiors. The kitchen reinterprets Moroccan staples with a lighter, more Mediterranean hand. Feta cigars come with tomato jam and smoked honey, kofta is paired with fresh accompaniments rather than heavy sauces, and a cauliflower risotto has quietly become one of the most talked-about dishes. Beef tagine holds its ground alongside grilled chicken on a cumin and carrot puree, and the chocolate ganache with date paste closes the meal on the right note. Drinks lean toward inventive mocktails, colourful and well-crafted. The atmosphere is lively without pressure, the service relaxed and genuine, and the whole operation feels like a confident newcomer that knows exactly what it wants to be.
