Overview
The Oberoi Marrakech is set within twenty-eight acres of citrus orchards and centuries-old olive groves on the outskirts of the city, the estate's scale providing a spatial separation from Marrakech that the 84 suites and villas inhabit as a private landscape rather than a hotel site. The majority of the accommodations include private pools and gardens, the most expansive villas configured with heated private pools of eleven metres and terraces exceeding 600 square metres, a scale that gives each villa the spatial logic of a separate property within the shared estate. The architecture draws on the Andalusian-Moroccan palace tradition, with carved plasterwork, hand-cut zellige, and mashrabiya screens referencing the Medersa Ben Youssef as a compositional touchstone, interpreted through the Oberoi Group's characteristically monumental approach to public space and its precision in the private rooms. Two shared temperature-controlled pools, one 30 metres outdoors and one 20 metres within the spa, supplement the private pool offer. Three restaurants cover the culinary programme: Tamimt for Moroccan and Mediterranean cooking, Rivayat for Indian fine dining, and Azur for poolside meals; the bar Vue extends the evening social dimension with cocktails and views across the estate. The Oberoi Spa occupies its own island on a natural water body within the orchard, providing hammam, Ayurvedic, and Moroccan treatments alongside a yoga studio. An organic garden supplies the kitchens and the estate's own olive oil is pressed on site. The Oberoi Marrakech represents the category of property whose offer is inseparable from its land: the citrus groves, the Atlas Mountain views, and the private villa configuration define the experience as completely as the architecture.
