Overview
Selman Marrakech is positioned at the foot of the Atlas Mountains on the Route d'Amizmiz, across six hectares organized around an eighty-metre pool set within Andalusian gardens whose scale and planting density produce a landscape quality that the Atlas at the property's southern edge intensifies rather than competes with. The sixty accommodations comprise rooms, suites ranging from 70 to 120 square metres, and five private villas of 580 to 700 square metres with individual gardens, heated pools, and butler service. Private Arabian horse stables and an equestrian programme define the property's most singular identity element, the horses and their daily presence across the paddocks giving the estate a living rhythm that no built facility can replicate. The 1,200-square-metre Chenot Spa, one of only six in the world operating the Chenot Method, provides a programme combining traditional Chinese healing principles with contemporary regenerative medicine across seven treatment rooms, four hydrotherapy rooms, an indoor pool, and two hammams. The dining programme runs from Assyl, the Moroccan restaurant, through Le Pavillon set within the Spring Garden with views over the paddocks, to the pool bar and Le Bar Selman, Jacques Garcia's baroque lounge with its resident DJ and cigar selection. Selman's architectural vocabulary draws from the Arab-Moorish tradition in a palace-scale idiom that the estate's proportions make appropriate and that the Atlas context makes fully legible. The equestrian programme, the Chenot Spa methodology, and the eighty-metre pool together constitute three specialist offers developed to a depth that the scale of the estate and its position at the city's southern edge make possible.
