Overview
Mandarin Oriental Marrakech is set on twenty hectares of gardens and olive groves with the Atlas Mountains at the southern horizon, the scale of the property placing it outside the category of the city hotel and into the territory of the private estate. Fifty-eight villas each occupy their own walled garden with a heated pool, jacuzzi, and open-air shower, the enclosure complete enough to function as a private residence for the duration of a stay. Seven suites offer rooftop plunge pools and unobstructed Atlas views; two infinity pool suites each feature a private courtyard with an eighteen-metre infinity pool. The configuration of the property means that scale and privacy coexist without contradiction: twenty hectares allows each unit of accommodation to feel isolated within the grounds. The spa covers one thousand eight hundred square metres, its facilities including two hammams, a heated indoor pool, yoga studio, and a fitness centre, the whole organized around a philosophy of wellness that draws from Moroccan traditions alongside contemporary therapies. Four restaurants occupy different positions in the estate, among them Shirvan for Moroccan cuisine and Ling Ling by Hakkasan for modern Cantonese, each serving the property's spatial logic of distributed outdoor life. The garden of olive trees, ornamental planting, and a hundred thousand roses contributes the scent and shade that the scale of the grounds requires, their fragrance in season as present as the Atlas views at every horizon. Mandarin Oriental Marrakech is a resort in the fullest sense of the term: self-sufficient, spatially generous, and organized around the proposition that space, privacy, and the Atlas Mountains at every horizon are reason enough to travel.
