Beldi Country Club

Beldi Country Club spreads across fifteen hectares on the southern edge of Marrakech, a compound built to feel like a Moroccan village in full flower. Eighty-two rooms and suites occupy low buildings connected by narrow alleyways and small interior courtyards, the architecture following beldi — country — logic rather than grand hotel geometry. Individually decorated in boho-chic style, the rooms feature four-poster canopy beds, carved wooden doors, traditional chests, and colourful fabrics assembled without fuss. Outside, the grounds are the property's defining element: century-old olive trees cast shade over lawns, swimming pools catch the light between rose gardens, sugarcane fields and citrus groves occupy the outer edges. Twelve thousand rose bushes fill the air with fragrance in late spring, a seasonal event that has made the property a destination in its own right at that time of year. Two restaurants offer views across the gardens to the Atlas Mountains. The atmosphere is relaxed and deliberate, a place built for slow days in a garden rather than for programmes or excursions. The city is nearby; inside the Beldi gates, it could be anywhere, the sounds of Marrakech replaced by birds and the faint rustle of ancient olives The compound is situated just south of the Medina, which makes the garden feel even more deliberate, a choice of pace made visible in the distance between one rose bush and the next.
